Meet the Team
Rachel qualified as a solicitor in 2007 and has specialised in property and tenancy disputes throughout her career. After spending 8 years as a partner in a Hull-based law firm, she launched Scarton Law under Nexa Law to offer a more personal and flexible service to clients.
Rachel has extensive experience in residential and commercial landlord and tenant law, including lease extensions, evictions, service charge disputes, and debt recovery. She is also a published author of three legal guides and a regular speaker at national legal seminars.

Jane has worked in law for over 25 years, beginning in admin before moving into litigation and becoming a Legal Assistant. She brings energy, empathy, and a wealth of experience to the team. Jane enjoys the fast pace of property litigation and takes pride in supporting clients throughout their case.
Outside of work, she’s a mum of two and a big football fan who loves long walks with her sprocker spaniel.
With nearly 30 years of legal experience, Marie is a calm, dependable presence who supports clients and colleagues with professionalism and care. Her background spans across various areas of law, but she thrives in the structured world of litigation.
In her spare time, Marie enjoys competing in triathlons and spending quality time with her family and friends.
